The Only Thing About Jonathan’s SURE-P Was Sure Corruption – Tinubu

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu
SAN FRANCISCO, May 20,  – National leader of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu has claimed that the Subsidy Reinvestment and Empowerment Programme, SURE-P, introduced by former President Goodluck Jonathan to ameliorate the hardships caused Nigerians by the partial removal of fuel subsidy in 2012 was riddled with corruption and diversion.
This was as the former governor of Lagos state averred that he can vouch that President Muhammadu Buhari, who he described as honest and straightforward, will not steal from the public treasury.
He spoke on Friday when he led some APC chieftains to the headquarters of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, in Abuja to make the unionists see reasons why they should call off the strike embarked upon to protest the hike in the price of petrol.
It would be recalled that on Wednesday, the faction of the NLC led by Comrade Ayuba Wabba effect its earlier threat to the government by declaring an indefinite nationwide strike and protests. However, the industrial action failed to gain much traction as most workers have been going about their duties.
Addressing the executive members of the NLC, Tinubu said “I cannot say, I’m a part of the decision that created the situation. I can only say I noticed the communication gap. And I cannot say you are enemies of this government‎.
“‎Today, we came here to appeal to you. Go back to history, we worked real hard to bring Nigeria on progressive path. For me a progressive government is all about the welfare of the people.
“Mr president, the former president of NLC, and senators are here to make it clear that you are not an enemy of a government that is progressive.
“We have refineries, but they are not serving our people. Is it benefiting the public? Why should we continue problem after problem, and continue to do the same things over and over again.
“We must try new things. I’m here to appeal to you to understand this government. You brought this government in. If change is our slogan, are we collaborating to make it possible?
“This is by the way, we must introduce history‎… the political history of the country is not being taught in schools anymore.
“In good conscience, many of you who are part of genuine labour struggle know is about progress and not cheap oil.
“We are shipping our labour, oil and opportunities abroad, which is not good for the country.
“Buhari is straightforward. We didn’t say we won’t have problems with him, but he has integrity.
“They brought in SURE-P, but the only thing about SURE-P is corruption.‎ It was sure stealing, sure diversion.
“Buhari will listen to us‎, we will work together to make this change possible.
“I can swear that Buhari will not touch a penny for personal gain. He has that character and integrity to steer Nigeria.
“Let us look at a new mechanism of doing things.
“Let us work together for a government that we know is honest. My mission here is for peace, for us to return to the negotiating table.
“Let us build Nigeria, let us make it the centre piece of Africa.
“Let us call off this strike. I c‎ome to beg on behalf of my party.”
Tinubu was accompanied on the visit by Governor Rauf Aregbesola of Osun state and Kabir Marafa, a senator from Zamfara central.
In his remarks, the NLC President, Wabba commended the delegation for its visit, stating that “visiting us has demonstrated you are concerned about the working class.”
He continued; “We have taken note of your plea. And we wi‎ll convey this plea to the various organs of the party.
“I want to assure you that we are open to discussion.‎”

Chibok Community Rejects Hayyatu As Amina’s Husband, Insists He Is Sexual Exploiter

SAN FRANCISCO, May 20,– Members of umbrella body representing the Chibok community, the Kibaku Area Development Association, KADA, has rejected the reference to the Boko Haram member, Mohammad Hayyatu who impregnated the rescued Chibok girl Amina Ali, as her husband, stressing that he should rather be seen as a Boko Haram sexual exploiter.
The members of the Borno community from where about 276 girls were adopted from their school in April 2014, pointed out that Amina had no husband before she was kidnapped and whoever was rescued with her should not be described as her husband.
Addressing journalists on Thursday, the Chairman of KADA Abuja, Tsambido Abana also expressed the dissatisfaction of the community at the military for refusing them access to Amina since her rescue.
His words: “We condemn, in strong terms, the calling of Mohammad Hayyatu as Boko Haram husband of our daughter; rather, upon confirmation by the Nigerian military, he should be referred to as ‘a Boko Haram sexual exploiter’. Amina had no husband and whoever that was rescued with her should not be referred to as her husband for any reason. They should be treated separately until Amina is fully rehabilitated.
“We will not support discussion with the government or any agency of government in company of Mohammad Hayyatu.”
“We are strongly calling on government to set up a team of expert investigators to probe Mohammad Hayyatu’s involvement in Boko Haram that led him to be the sexual exploiter of our daughter Amina so as to allow the law to take its proper course. He should be treated based on what investigations will reveal, not to conclude from the start that he was also an abductee. Even if he was also abducted and forced to marry her, he should not be referred to in any way as her husband, because there was no consent.
“All stakeholders – parents, Chibok Community (KADA), BBOG etc – should be involved in any process of discussing and relevant actions relating to Amina and her colleagues that we are expecting their rescue soonest, for the purpose of transparency and confidence building.
“We are insisting Amina Ali’s mother/guardian and the Parents’ Association Chairman, Mr. Yakubu Nkeki, should be part of the decisions that concern her wellbeing.
“We are asking for a safe haven to be provided for Amina, her mum and her baby. A safe home that is controlled by her family with the reasonable amount of security support but not overbearing.
“The Chibok community wishes to be involved in any further decisions on our daughters. We are dissatisfied with the approach of the military, and the government in shutting us out of verification process. We therefore refer government and its agencies to the Verification, Authentication and Reintegration System that BBOG designed with the participation of our community. It lays out the proper process for handling the return of our daughters. That was not done in this case and we would not want any recurrence.
“The Chibok Community frowns at the Federal Government and Borno State Government in treating Amina like an item. She is a traumatised young woman who needs immediate care and not any further media circus. We demand to see our daughter today in Abuja as leaders of the community.”

El-Rufai Will Surely Betray Buhari Like He Betrayed Obasanjo – Shehu Sani

Senator Shehu Sani
SAN FRANCISCO, May 20, – Staunch critic of Governor Nasir El-Rufai and the lawmaker representing Kaduna central in the Senate, Comrade Shehu Sani has alleged that the Kaduna state Governor still has interest in the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, and will soon return to the party.
El-Rufai served as Minister of the FCT under the administration of then President Olusegun Obasanjo, who was elected into office on the platform of the PDP. He is reported to have been the one that convinced President Muhammadu Buhari to contest the 2015 election, having reportedly given up on further attempts after running for the position three times without success.
Describing himself as a strong supporter of Buhari, Sani disclosed that El-Rufai will soon betray the President as the former minister betrayed Obasanjo. He accused the Governor of masterminding the threat of the Kaduna state chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, to expel him from the party.
“El-Rufai has simply destroyed APC in Kaduna state. In all states in the north people are decamping from PDP to APC except in Kaduna,” Sani said in a statement issued on his behalf by his Special Adviser on Politics and Ideology, Ahmed Suleiman.
The statement further said, “El-Rufai is a bad and rotten egg in the APC. He knelt down for Atiku to become BPE chair and later betrayed him. He knelt down for Obj to become a minister and later betrayed him. He knelt down for Buhari to be governor of which later he will betray him. Fear El-Rufai whenever he kneels down before you.
“El-Rufai was never and is still never a Buhari man but a pretender who can kneel down to anyone as long as that can propel him to power. El-Rufai is a man who had abused PMB and only aligned himself with him when Yar’adua and GEJ denied him juicy ministerial positions and recognition he craved.
“El-Rufai is a man who had spent 13 years of the 16 years of PDP in power and now claims false progressive credentials. The heart, the lungs and the “blockos” of El-Rufai are still PDP. He is an arrogant man allergic to criticism. It’s shameful that the El-Rufai, who claims to be a Buharist, still can’t publicly declare his assets like PMB.
“Senator Shehu Sani is one hundred percent a supporter of PMB but he is neither a sycophant nor a hypocrite who will not speak his mind when there is the need to do so.”
While alleging that APC in Kaduna had turned to an appendage of El-Rufai, the lawmaker claimed that the headquarters of the party in the state is owned by a PDP chieftain.
“The press conference and threat of expulsion made by one Tanko Wusono of Kaduna APC against comrade Senator Shehu Sani for objecting to the increase in pump price of petroleum products stands unambiguously condemned. Kaduna APC as it exists today is simply an extension of El-Rufai’s government,” the statement read.
“The press conference is the hands of Jacob and the voice of Esau. The said Tanko Wusono is the special assistant to El-Rufai’s Commissioner for local government Bashir Saidu at the same time member of Kaduna internal revenue board. El-Rufai is cowardly to directly confront Sen Sani and resort to using Buhari’s name to fight his domestic battles.
“Senator Shehu Sani reserves the right to freely express his opinion and no bespectacled pigmy can stop him from doing that. The use of APC Kaduna to fight Shehu Sani by El-Rufai is a testimony to how timid and mischievous the governor is.
“The threat of expulsion of the distinguished senator by El-Rufai spokesman is nothing but the hallucinations of a barely educated ogogoro drinker. It will be interesting for the general public to know that even the so-called state headquarters of the APC is a building owned by a top PDP chieftain in the state. It will also interest the public to know that 80 percent of Kaduna state APC exco are appointed into El-Rufai government.
“We call on El-Rufai to stop hiding behind APC Kaduna and wearing the mask of PMB to fight his battles.”

CNN features dapper car windscreen washer, Abdullahi Olatoyan

CNN has featured Nigeria's Abdullahi Olatoyan, the young man who was spotted washing car windscreens dressed in a suit and bow tie. Read what they wrote about him after the cut...

From CNN

In Congo, Sapeurs (the Society of tastemakers and elegant people), are known for their love of luxury tailoring even while performing the most mundane of tasks. But one car windscreen cleaner in Nigeria's Abeokuta is competing for this title.

Abdulahi Olatoyan, who is a university dropout in his early thirties, turned to the streets to make a living and save enough money to start his own business. Wearing a bright polka dot suit and red velvet bow tie, Olatoyan says he hopes to return to school one day and finish his studies. "I didn't want to be wandering the streets doing nothing" he explains, adding he wanted to make sure people knew he was serious about his work.

"He is the first suited windscreen cleaner I have ever seen", says photographer Daniel Sync, who decided to take photos. "We need more innovative citizens like Abdulahi in Nigeria", he added.

Sync spotted the cleaner on his way to work and rushed to the office to pick up his camera. The photographs have since gone viral - with Olatoyan being offered a job at Nigerian clothing line OUCH.

The label's designer Uche Nnaji posted on Instagram that Olatoyan could come work at his company, and listed seven reasons why he deserved the job. He asked his 18,000 followers to help track down the elegant squeegee man.

Olatoyan has now been offered a position as 'style doctor' at the menswear brand: "I have a team of young people that I call style doctors," says Nnaji, "when I saw him I thought this person is someone that likes looking good and can style others". "I saw attitude in him and thought if this man is doing this just to go and wash cars, he is someone that will work with a different mindset even if he's doing the least popular job in the company" he added.

Olatoyan will soon begin offering his own distinctive opinions on style and taste to customers.

Hello Igbo Friends!

Enugu State. My State. My home. Igboland. My fatherland.
It was Peter Obi who buried APC in Igboland when he claimed that Fashola deported Igbos. He went on air, sensationalized it. Good job. Igbo youths lapped on it. Jonathan and PDP were all smiles and Obi was hailed for a job well done. He quickly joined the party on leaving office as was planned out. APGA, the alleged Igbo party was dumped and left to crumble. Ojukwu had died. The new Igbo party was PDP.
The plan was going well. Jonathan would win election and our brothers would continue chopping on our behalf. The Grand plan was for 2017. Oil blocks allocations would expire in 2017 and there would be fresh allocations. Boys were positioning themselves for the greatest cake. Dasuki released 500M to Jim for igbo elders. They did a perfect job. In churches Buhari was branded antichrist and antichristians whose ambitions were to islamize the east and persecute Christians. Prayer points were raised and brethren fasted against his emergence.
Jonathan was sent by God and only his emergence would save the church. Brethren spoke in tongue and prophesied. Anyone who ever prophesied anything contrary to Jonathan winning was branded antichrist and anti Igbo. Jonathan was igbo, our brother. Ndi Hausa hate us so much. Buhari wrote Ohaneze severally to pay them a visit. No one as much as acknowledged his letter not to talk of inviting him. What's the point? Our son is running and he's gonna win anyways. APC was outcast and taboo in the land. At the election the elders dutifully allocated 500,000 votes to Jonathan, maybe at 1000naira per vote. And 15,000 votes to Buhari. This was igbo project remember. By 2017 igbo sons would own oil blocks on our behalf. All seemed to be going well. Except that men without ears didn't think that God had the final say.
Suddenly, like the great titanic, everything went wrong! Our brother didn't win after all! Wow. What next? They started shouting persecution. Ana emegbu ndi igbo. Can't y'all see his appointment? I told you! We need Biafra! We never really wanted Nigeria. We only managed to take part in the election. We want Biafra! Our brothers in the niger delter will join us and we will get Biafra. Let's just own all the oil blocks at once. Again things didn't go as expected. Wike first threw the first stone. He warned against any Biafra rubbish. One after the other, our so called brothers, denied us again. They ain't part of any Biafra business. Wow. I thought we fought for this people? We gave Jonathan our all. We actually threw away igbo ambitions for these people? Wow. This is happening again. They did it in old Biafra. Now again. Na wao. What next? And buhari is arresting people up and down.
Nwobodo has been named. Who next? Uche Ekwunife has been sacked at the court. Na wao. Wahala de o. Uche, with the endorsement of Peter Obi, that same Peter has finally joined that same APC, the anti Igbo Islamic party. She has to go back to Senate. Tony Nwoye is set to join. But that's not the main gist. Our father, Senator Jim Nwobo, first executive governor of old Anambra state, the godfather of enugu state, founding member and the biggest chieftain of PDP, a member of the yam eating Dasuki committee of eminent Nigerians, yesterday, in company of another former enugu Senator, walked into stakeholders meeting of the APC in Enugu and declared loyalty. He has joined the "Islamic" party.
Finally, who's the fool here? Igbo youths! Y'all put your businesses on the line. You were ready to go to war in lagos. You risked your families and livelihood for these men. They lied to you and you believed them. They now use you the way northern elders use their youths. They call you out at will and endanger your lives. They tell you it's because of the igbo. Did they do our roads? Nope. Did they provide infrastructure? Did they create more jobs to employ our teeming qualified graduates? Did they improve our schools? They did nothing. They don't have our interests at heart. It's always all about their pockets. As old as elder Jim is, he still decamps up and down. Men without ears, men without shame.
Yet we defend them. We protect them with our lives. Why brothers, why. See the western youths calling out almighty Olu Falae. See the northern youths calling out the princely Dasuki. But we? No way!
These men are eating on our behalf, we must attack anyone who calls their name. In fact, we shall adopt any other accused person as ours and defend him no matter how he insulted the igbo in the past. FFK is now our son. Who done this to us? Are we cursed or are we the cause?
I repeat, the real enemies of Igboland are our political leaders at present. Let us sack the enemies at home. We igbos are blessed with intellectuals, why do we let charlatans lead us? 2019 is around the corner. Now is the time to start.

UK Daily Mail comes for Rotimi Amaechi, asks if he's 'fantastically' corrupt

UK Daily Mail comes for Rotimi Amaechi, asks if he's 'fantastically' corrupt
Below is how I read it on UK Daily Mail...:-)
When David Cameron was caught on camera last week before an anti-corruption summit describing Nigeria as ‘fantastically corrupt’, the African state’s president rallied to the Prime Minister’s defense by agreeing with him. But although Muhammadu Buhari is seen by some as leading the battle against corruption, worrying allegations swirl around one of his close allies.
Rotimi Amaechi, who travelled with the president to the summit, is Nigeria’s transport minister and is said to have bankrolled Buhari’s presidential campaign.
In the Nigerian press he has been dubbed ‘ATM’ – the American term for cash machine – because of his ability to produce vast sums of money at short notice.
He remains in his post despite being accused of misappropriating £338million by a commission investigating the sale of state assets.

Some of that money is likely to have come from UK taxpayers, who gave the country £1billion in aid over five years to 2014, including £248million in 2014 alone.
Separately, Amaechi is accused of diverting £140million of state funds into Buhari’s presidential campaign, with reports he paid for media, consultants and private jets.
The allegations come as the president stands accused of enjoying a lavish lifestyle while many millions suffer in poverty.

A leaked draft budget for 2016 showed the Nigerian government earmarked £16million for the refurbishment and maintenance of the president’s official residence, Aso Rock Guest House, in the capital Abuja.
There was also a request for £13million for building a VIP wing at a hospital used by families of the president and his ministerial team.
Mr Amaechi has denied the allegations against him.

Amber Rose now jealous of Blac Chyna?

Amber Rose now jealous of Blac Chyna?
That is if you believe MediaTakeOut. Below is how they are reporting it...
Amber Rose and her former BFF Blac Chyna used to be inseparable, but now the two ladies barely speak. And MTO learned that they two are beginning to hate each other.
So what is going on with the two ladies? Well it depends on who you ask. We spoke to a person close with Chyna who tell us that the ladies falling out has to do with one thing - Jealousy. The insider explained, "Chyna was always like Amber's little sidekick. But now that Chyna is a Kardashian, she's bigger than Amber and that heaux can't take that. She's jealous."
But Amber is claiming that Chyna may have STOLEN a business idea from her.
MediaTakeOut.com's snitch added, Amber is saying that Chyna stole her EMOJI idea. That don't make no sense though, everyone had emoji's. Amber thought that Chyna was going to launch her emoji's through Amber's company."

We're told that Amber is exploring taking LEGAL action against Chyna - for backing out of a deal that the two of them had together.
So it's either BUSINESS, or JEALOUSY, or BOTH. Either way, the two ladies are NO LONGER FRIENDS!!!
